The easiest way to know when everyone will arrive.

Note: The play store might show this app as incompatible if the location service on your device is disabled.Approach by WhenHub, allows geostreaming (i.e. real-time location sharing) for yourself and other invited participants as you approach a meeting, event or final destination. With Approach you can share and see location information in real-time, for a fixed period of time, and for a select group of people on any smartphone. The map view allows you to see each participants profile image and location in real-time. Everyone stays informed of arrival times without having to use unsafe text messages while driving. Approach can be used in many scenarios such as meeting people at a restaurant, driving home from work or vacation, tracking family members on a long journey, and monitoring kids on a field trip.Participants who join the Approach have privacy settings to control their geostreaming or sharing contact details with the group. Users can also make phone calls directly thru the app to others involved in an active Approach. Notifications are sent as participants join, leave or are near the destination. This version is a complete makeover of the Approach user interface based on user feedback. We have made the app easier to use, while also improving the functionality in a number of areas. Here is a complete list of Approach features:- View participants geostreaming on a map in real-time regardless of smartphone platform- Share invitation links easily using the messaging app of your choice- Invitees who dont have the app can choose to monitor the person who invited them using just their web browser on mobile or desktop- Approaches can be auto-started based on calendar events (configurable in Settings)- Repeat Approaches can be managed using the Favorites manager- Configurable notifications make it easy to know where everyone is and exactly when they will arrive- Unlike general map applications, Approach is specialized for geostreaming and thus has a simple, easy-to-use experience- Approach can be white-labeled for your Business. Odd decision to require signing in with another social media platform. So you have to have Google, FB or Twitter to get in. WhenHub Interface requires Linkedin. I can see the reasoning behind it. Most of the world is on those platforms. Unfortunately, if you notice, the vast majority of popular "killer apps" such as Uber, Skip the Dishes and Skype simply require an email. It is purely psychological, but most people are not comfortable with sharing their social media with corporations. Certainly corporation have plenty of your information already, but it isnt a rational choice. This is a stunning lack of insight from a man like Scott Adams who teaches psychology and persuasion all day.

A Google user

Several reasons for the 1 star. First I will not give anyone my Google Twitter, Facebook account to log in. I will log i using an email address but that's not an option. Second, I don't see any information on how to use it. All I want to do is send someone my location (streaming) via text or email until I get there. It should automatically stop geolocation me after a certain amount of time that I specify. I don't see why I have to log in to do that. Big documentation holes, Big security holes. Uninstalling now.

It's ok but definitely needs work on the user interface and bugs that cause multiple crashes. After reporting crash data numerous times via helpful pop-up, I finally stopped submitting and ignore the pop-up. User interface is a bit clunky, menu has item called "share approach" which I (and others) had wrongly interpreted as "initiate and share an approach" when in fact it means "share this app with someone". Yes I know you can use the "+" icon on map to create an approach, but you should be able to do that in menu too. It's not obvious how to "redo" previous approaches (including list of participants involved last time) and a very simple thing like switching between map and satellite imagery is buried in a "settings" menu instead of a simple layer toggle ala Google maps style. Map gestures such as 2-finger tap to zoom out are annoyingly unreliable, half the time it either scrolls or does nothing at all. Same gestures on Google maps work instantly and reliably. I downloaded this app because (at the time) Google had discontinued location sharing. I wanted to easily share location with family members for limited periods and since I read Scott's blog, I saw this app. However Google maps has reintroduced location sharing with specific people for user-defined time period. I've been experimenting with this and if it works out may return to Google maps instead of using this app. All Google needs to do is allow groups to share location with alerts for proximity and this app may become obsolete. Of course this also depends on extent of integration with other whenhub apps and value added from those.

Ahead of it's time , revolutionary; I may be experiencing slight confirmation bias.

Constant intrusive notifications *after* you've ended an approach. How do you stop this app without a forced shutdown?

Beautiful idea with more work to do. I expect to see major overhauls as customer feedback comes through. Great core concept. Now find how the people want it and give it to them.

I like it because I like Scott Adams. I am testing the app now. I'll let you know. Also, Scott's girlfriend is insanely hot.

Awful. Not fit for purpose. Asks for way too many permissions.

Cris Wilson

Absolute dumpster fire.
